HELP US TO MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
FIND OUT THE MANY WAYS TO SUPPORT US BELOW...

The Little Loco Group was formally formed in 2017 from former members of the Wainwright Villas Gang and supported by the Fenchurch Fund in the effort to fund & support the overhaul & restoration of the Bluebell Railway’s historic fleet of smaller engines and the railway’s collection of pre-grouping engines & projects representing this era of locomotive history. Our current focus is to see one of the Bluebell Railway’s original engines, the third to be preserved on the fledgling line, No 27 Primrose the forgotten P steam once again! So far through the generous hours and fundraising efforts of the members of the Fenchurch Fund, as well as those who have donated and supported us, we have raised in excess of over £40,000 towards the expected £150,000 needed to restore 27 & see her run for the first time since her withdrawal in the mid 70’s. This has enabled us to acquire & rivet up a new set of frames (to replace the original life expired ones), the manufacture of a new cylinder block, re-turning of the wheels & axle journals, an initial start at the mechanical overhaul and progressing with the painting of the wheels, frames & various components into 1920’s Maunsell Southern lined green.

Join our Little Loco Club today and help us by making a minimum donation of £3 per month towards the restoration of No.27. Inspired by the hundreds of parts that go into the construction of an engine, all playing their small part – like each of these individual parts – we can break down the expected £150,000 restoration cost for No.27 into regular monthly individual donations from a larger number of Little Loco Club members. This way, the task of raising the funds to restore No.27 becomes a lot less daunting and a lot more achievable!

So, if you would like to see No.27 return to steam once again, please help us by joining the Little Loco Club today for just £3 per month. To sign up, simply click on the button below. Coming Soon……
